AdoraStat is our answer to the question “What if data analysis, but cute?” The app is a collaboration between myself and my partner, Jayne Vidheecharoen. Jayne handles the design side of AdoraStat, and I handle the development work.
The experience is similar to a chat bot. In our case, the bot’s name is Adora. By selecting from preset action buttons and drop-downs, the user creates a query about their currently-loaded data set. The query, as well as Adora’s response, are added to the chat area.
AdoraStat was built using React; User authentication and database management are accomplished with Firebase. The UI elements are built using Styled Components. CSV file uploading is accomplished with the help of Papa Parse. React Table makes it easy to create interactive tables, and graphs are created using Plotly.js. This project is in its early stages, but we’re super excited to complete out the initial feature set, and planning to have users testing out Adora in the near future.
